PCHA Public Housing

Public Housing can be located at Underwood Circle, Nix Road, and Stalcup Circle in Phil Campbell, Alabama. With Public Housing, your rent is based upon the amount of your yearly income. When you qualify, you will be placed on a waiting list for the size of apartment you or your family is eligible for. When an apartment becomes available that fits your families needs, you will be contacted to start the move in process.

An admission preference does not guarantee admission. Preferences establish the order of placement on the waiting list. Every applicant must still meet the HA's Selection Criteria before being offered a unit. The following preferences are available to qualifying families at this time.

Disabled, Working, and/or Elderly (Families where the head, spouse or sole member is employed. An applicant must be given the benefit of the working preference if the head, spouse, or sole member is age 62 or older, or is a person with disabilities.)
